Contact Lens Exams & Fittings in Vienna, VA

A contact lens exam is a separate, dedicated evaluation from your routine eye exam. Dr. Goudarzi selects the right lens design for your vision, cornea, and lifestyle.

A contact lens exam is a separate evaluation from a standard eye exam. Dr. Gooya Goudarzi, OD, MSc, assesses the health of your cornea, measures your eye's curvature, and selects the right lens material and design for your vision needs and lifestyle. We fit daily disposables, bi-weekly and monthly lenses, toric lenses for astigmatism, multifocal lenses for presbyopia, and soft lenses for a wide range of prescriptions.

Trial lenses are provided before finalizing your prescription so you can assess comfort and vision. If standard soft lenses are not the right fit, Dr. Goudarzi can evaluate whether specialty contact lenses — such as scleral lenses or gas-permeable designs — may be a better option for you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is a contact lens exam different from a regular eye exam?

Yes. A contact lens exam is a separate evaluation from a standard comprehensive eye exam. Dr. Goudarzi assesses your corneal health, measures your eye's curvature, and selects the appropriate lens type for your vision and lifestyle. A contact lens prescription requires a fitting before it can be finalized.

What types of contact lenses do you fit?

Metro Eyes Vision Care fits daily disposable lenses, bi-weekly and monthly lenses, toric lenses for astigmatism, multifocal lenses for presbyopia, and soft lenses across a wide range of prescriptions. We also offer specialty contact lens evaluations for patients who cannot achieve clear or comfortable vision with standard soft lenses.

Will I receive trial lenses at my appointment?

Yes. Trial lenses are provided before your prescription is finalized so you can assess comfort and vision before committing to a lens type.

Does insurance cover a contact lens exam?

Many vision plans include a contact lens exam benefit. Metro Eyes Vision Care accepts most major vision plans including VSP, EyeMed, Davis Vision, Spectera, Superior Vision, VBA, and NVA. Please call to verify your specific benefits before your visit.
